Halloween Weekend

We started the weekend making cookies, Friday evening. We have never made Halloween cookies before. I even made colored icing. We never got the cookies iced. We all tuckered out and went to bed. But sugar cookies are good with or without icing. Eli sacked out on the couch while the boys and I were watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

Saturday we trick or treated. We started in the neighborhood. We made it to 6 or 7 houses before the rain started. We ran back to the car and headed to the festival at church. It was inside. Had a good time. Notice Caidy, the Barbie Cheer Leader. She was supposed to be a pink leopard. Well, her costume disappeared. I can;t find it anywhere. I asked her where is your costume and she says,"I don't know mommy. You will be mad!" Luckily a good friend gave me that costume earlier in the week. It was too big but it worked. The boys are both Ninjas. (In case you were wondering. They vampire is our friend Caleb.

Carving Pumpkins

For many years I have been the pumpkin carver at our house. Ray is usually on the road. Well for the past two years Ray has taken over that job and I have to say he is much better at it then I am. Friday night we carved or should I say Eli, Ray and I carved. Levi had a tummy ache and he and Caidy laid on the couch and watched Tom and Jerry cartoons. They would perodically check on us. It was a great family evening. I am roasting the pumpkin seeds as I type this.

Eli's awards

Listening to Mrs. Torbush, the principal, speak.
Singing the alphabet sound song and raising the roof!
Getting a award from Mrs. Torbush!
Wednesday I had the pleasure of going to Dyer and watching Eli receive two award. He received a Principal's Award for earning all E's and S's on the report card. He also received a achievement award in math. We are so proud of him.

Caidy and the Sharpie

Sunday Caidy somehow got hold of a blue sharpie. Before I knew it she had colored her arm blue and after her bath I realized it was on the couch. I still have not been able to get it out of the couch! Her arm is still blue too.

Levi's Award

Friday was Dragon Pride Day at Dyer. Levi received a citizenship award. We are so proud of him. These awards were given to students who show respect toward adults and peers, leadership skills in the classroom and work hard. Way to go Levi!!!

Stone Mountain Pumpkin Fest

Last Friday on my furlough day I took the kids to the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain. My best friend Brooke went along with her three boys. We had lots of fun. Caidy brought a lot of attention to herself. An AJC reporter liked taking her picture and she was in the paper on Saturday. She was also yelled at my a grumpy old man! He thought she was being too loud. Sorry no pic of him.

This baby goat kept trying to eat Levi's shirt.

TNA

So yesterday in a moment of weakness I lost my mind!!!!
Ray called as we were on our way out the door for church.
He wants to know if I want to take the boys to see a house show of TNA
wrestling in Gainseville. Before I can even answer he says it's a school night never mind.
He then calls me back as I am trying to get the kids out of the car and into church safely and says, Cat is wrestling tonight (Cat is a friend of ours) and the show is at 5 do you wanna go. Sure whatever I say. Hello did those words just come out of my mouth. Well we went. Here are the pictures to prove it.

Catching up

It has been awhile. Here are some things for you to look over. I am going to make it a hodge podge so enjoy!

Boat Ride on Lake Lanier

We had the opportunity to take a boat out on the lake today. We had a great time. What a great way to spend furlough day. God provides beautiful weather and the Governor provided the day off!
